1. Overview
You can permanently delete your BiteMeasure AI account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone — your food images, nutrition history, scan history, goals, and profile will be removed. Please export or note anything you want to keep before you begin.
2. Delete your account in the app
- Open the BiteMeasure app and sign in.
- Go to Settings (or your profile/account area).
- Select Delete Account.
- Confirm the request. You may be asked to re-authenticate for security.
Once confirmed, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion and you are signed out.
3. Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email support@bitemeasure.com from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account.” We may need to verify your identity before processing the request to protect your data.
4. What gets deleted
- Your account and authentication records.
- Food images and uploaded photos stored for your account.
- Nutrition history, meals, and food-scan history.
- Calorie and macro goals, and profile settings.
- Notification tokens and app preferences.
5. What may be retained
After deletion, we may retain a limited amount of information where necessary to:
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
Retained records — such as transaction and subscription records held by the app stores — are kept only as long as required and are then deleted or anonymized. Backups are purged on our normal rotation schedule.
6. Processing timeline
Deletion typically completes within 30 days of a verified request, and residual copies in backups are removed within our standard backup cycle (generally up to 90 days). We will let you know if we need more time or additional information.
7. Subscriptions and billing
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel through the App Store or Google Play to stop future renewals. Refunds, where available, are handled per our Refund Policy.
